Accountabilities
+ Support regional sites leadership teams by leading the dedicated operational excellence initiatives and continuously improve the
variable costs and fixed costs, including but not limited to :
- reduction of labor productivity
- throughput and capacity increase
- cost of poor quality
- energy & water
- process optimization incl. process variability reduction. Periodic Process Capability (Control Charts, Cp, Cpk) analysis and reporting
+ Feed plants projects hopper from ideations processes to projects launch.
In a total alignment with the site yearly objectives and targets, contribute to the opportunity assessment and manage and update the continuous improvement projects portfolio in Quimeo, review the progression with the projects leaders and monitor the impact on the sites and country / region performances.
Overall target to be : fixed costs savings identification equivalent to 10% of plant fixed costs at any time and variable cost savings equivalent to X (1% ?) of plant margin.
+ Owner of the country / Region Quality strategy, performance (QI/NQI), and improvement roadmap. Subject Matter Expert for
statistical analysis. ISO Management Representative when applicable.
+ Can eventually act as facilitator for the smart coordinators.
Main a ctivities
+ Carry on the opportunity assessment in the plant:
+ Alignment with the Business and Manufacturing VP, and the plant managers on the objectives and targets to define the scope, timing, resources and targets
+ Lead brainstorming sessions based gaps analysis between the plant results and the targets
+ Support funneling, scoping and prioritization processes (prioritization matrix) of the identified opportunities
+ Feedback stakeholders on identified projects impact and cost estimation to help them select the projects to fill the pipeline.
Report to the regional Operations director on the performance related to the projects execution.
+ Manage the portfolio of continuous improvement projects of various plants for the region in Quimeo, with regular update and review
with projects leaders and sponsors. Ensure Quimeo projected savings are in line with target. Lead regional NQI Journey.
+ Champion of zero loss model (roll out and follow-up)
+ Roll out OEE pgr and digitalization.
+ For DMAIC projects, act as a coach on the methodology; manage the GB population in the plant to ensure 3% active operational
people.
Contribute to the assessment of the performance cycle process.
Job dimensions
+ With strong collaboration with DIT Process experts on related technologies, in charge of the sites performance cycle process
implementation, high contributor of ideas of improvement and optimization of the assets, quality and anticipation of problem solving.
+ Develop gaps analysis and opportunities identification through joint team work with other functions : R&D, Dampe, Supply Chain,
Gasp, DIT or sister plants.
+ Develop people skills on problem solving for managing projects to reach 3% GB active of the total plant Head counts and 75% of
staff participating to problem solving.
+ Provide support to the production team by analyzing and solving complex technical issues, and by ensuring the coordination
between the different people involved when a crisis situation occurs
+ Coach GB project leaders and potentially Smart coordinators

Qualifications / experience required
. 0 to 5 years experienced, graduated in chemical or mechanical engineering.
. Knowledge of the specific plants manufacturing process would be a plus.
. Background on Continuous Improvement; Lean manufacturing
. Catalyzer, ability to federate and teamwork.
. Rigor and good ability to analyze a situation, interest and capacity to work with the different Bostik or Arkema Group entities.
. Datas driven. Application of statistical methods (Minitab, etc…)
. Cost driven.
. Very good communicator (verbal, written)
. Strong analytical and organizational skills
. Trained and certified GB prefered, capable to lead and supervise less experienced engineers.
