The US Customs Compliance Manager manages responsibilities for Procter & Gamble's compliance with US Import and Export regulations. The person in this role interacts with many functions and disciplines across P&G, both international and domestic. This individual must maintain a current in-depth knowledge of international trade regulations regarding a broad variety of products, equipment, and materials. Individual judgment is required regarding legal compliance of unique transactions with US Customs and Border Protection and other related government agencies. Errors in judgment can result in significant business disruption, including but not limited to delay in receipt of goods, significant public relations exposure, potential penalties, and loss or restriction of P&G's import and export privileges. This role is vital in maintaining smooth operations and avoiding potential legal issues related to customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Collaborating with both internal and external business partners to ensure Procter & Gamble is Best In Class for US Import and Export Compliance
2) Identifying improvements to business processes and enabling team to drive projects
3) Maximizing and managing duty cost savings/avoidance efforts, such as Free Trade Agreements, Tariff reduction, and Duty Drawback programs
4) Integrating new business into the operations
5) Managing Internal and external audits
Job Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related fieldExperience in customs operations or a similar role is preferredFamiliarity with local and international customs lawsStrong analytical skills to interpret complex regulationsExcellent communication skills for effective collaboration within the team and across the organizationAble to work under direct supervision and follow well-defined precedents and policiesA commitment to continuous learning and growth in the rolePay Range: $85,000 - $115,000
