As our **Coding Associate III** , you will help ensure accurate medical coding and billing for our clients to optimize revenue cycle management. Every day you will review clinical documentation and diagnostic results to accurately assign ICD-10 and CPT codes including E/M codes for accurate and timely billing for our clients and patients. To thrive in this role, you must have an active CPC or CCS-P, or RHIT coding certificate and experience with women’s health, family practice, internal medicine, and/or urgent care coding preferably with FQHCs. **Here’s what you will experience working as a Medical Coder:** + Assign accurate codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers) for diagnoses, treatments, and procedures for new charges, denials, and claim edits in assigned work queues while meeting daily quotas with 95% accuracy + Enter and validate codes, charges and other edits; verify and correct documentation; validate coder production + Coordinate provider queries and resolve escalated claims + Adhere to Standards of Ethical Coding by AHIMA and AAPC + Communicate with global coding team and other departments to provide coding guidance + Confidently present and discuss coding data to clients; review encounter information with clients as needed **Required Skills:** + HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent + Active CPC or CCS-P, or RHIT with work experience coding for women’s health family practice, internal medicine, and/or urgent care; experience as a coding team or project lead preferred + Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding guidelines including ICD-10, HCPCS, and CPT and E/M coding For this US-based position, the base pay range is $20.13 - $31.13 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
