As a Urology Oncologist at Allina Health, you will join a dedicated team passionate about providing transformative and enhanced care for the many individuals diagnosed with cancer each year in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Job Description:

We are currently expanding our program and are seeking a board-certified/board eligible Urology Oncologist to join the institute.

Principle Responsibilities

Clinical ResponsibilitiesConducts patient consultations, assessments; educate patients and families regarding urologic cancers and treatment options.Detects and treats cancers of the urinary tract and male reproductive organs, such as bladder, prostate, kidney, testicular cancer, penile cancer and other therapeutic approaches.Prescribes and administers treatments, including certain chemo/immuno therapies hormonal therapies and other targeted therapies; monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team including general surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, urologists, general surgeons, and primary care physicians.Facilitates patient access to medical care through appropriate referrals; Foster collaborative relationships with referring providers, within and outside, Allina to ensure optimal patient care and further development of the service line.Facilitates patient access to medical care through appropriate referrals.Engages in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in the fieldRemains informed about clinical trial opportunities and willing to partake in clinical trials and research initiatives as deemed appropriate.Contributes to the development of clinical guidelines and best practices through committee involvement and quality and continuous improvement efforts.Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

Completion of Doctor of Medicine (MD)/Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) program or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicineCompletion of urology residency and board eligible/board certified in UrologyCompleted an SUO or other accredited fellowship/advanced training in Urologic Oncology


Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Epic Electronic Medical RecordRobotic training and experience


Licenses/Certifications

Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hireMust meet at least ONE of the requirements below:
◦ BLS certification from the American Heart Association
◦ BLS certification from the American Red Cross
◦ Allina in-house BLS training (within 90 days of hire)Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate required upon hirePrescription Monitoring Program required upon hireNational Provider Identifier required upon hire


Physical Demands

Medium Work*:Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently

Pay Range

Pay Range: $522,496 to $549,994 per year

The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
