Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner

We're seeking board certified Nurse Practitioners licensed in Iowa with broad clinical expertise and a passion for improving healthcare access and quality. In this role, you'll deliver virtual comprehensive care to patients of all ages across a wide range of conditions, while working closely with our provider and support teams. This is a great opportunity for a clinician with at least 3 years experience in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care settings. This is a Full-Time role (40 hours/week) reporting to the Urgent Care Manager. We also have modified full time opportunities at 32/hours a week available.
This role requires an active RN compact license and licensure in multiple states. Ideal candidates will hold five or more active state licenses.
Currently unable to consider candidates residing in the following states: AL, IN, GA, MN, MS, MO, OK, SC, or TNResponsibilities: Conduct age-appropriate history and virtual examsEvaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of conditions across the lifespanOrder and interpret diagnostic tests as neededDevelop and document treatment plans in a timely, accurate mannerManage acute, chronic, and mental health conditions for pediatric and adult patientsRequest consultation or referral with other health care providers when appropriateCounsel and educate patients and families on treatment plansMaintain current knowledge of clinical best practices and evidence-based careProvide cross-coverage for tasks such as reviewing lab resultsOffer scheduling flexibility, including evenings and weekendsRequired Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited Master’s or Doctoral-level Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program, with prior graduation from an accredited nursing school.Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license with maintained Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, in accordance with state requirementsCurrent national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCCActive RN compact license Active multi-state licensure (5+ licenses preferred)Minimum 3+ years post-training experience in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care settingsExperience providing care to newborns through adult populationsAbility to function within an integrated medical practiceStrong clinical acumen and ability to manage a broad range of conditionsExcellent communication, collaboration, and patient engagement skillsProficiency with technology and electronic medical recordsMaintain active Medicare status - In good standing with Medicare/Medicaid and not excluded from participation in federal health programsPreferred Qualifications: Prior telemedicine or video-based virtual care experienceExperience with Athena EMR Full Time Contractual Scheduling Requirements:2,080 annual hours (40 hrs/week)Weekday evening shifts: 8 hrs scheduled between 5pm-11pm in clinician’s time zoneWeekend shifts: Required every fourth weekend, with both Saturday and Sunday coverage. Each shift is 8 hours, scheduled between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM (clinician’s local time), with a rotation between day and evening shifts.Holiday shifts: 3 per calendar yearPlease only proceed to apply if you are comfortable with the contractual scheduling requirementsFull-Time: 40hrs/wk min - $123,000/yr on average with guaranteed base + equity + benefits.
