This commitment starts with ensuring our Home Health Aides and Nurses are highly skilled and competent. As our Part-Time RN Educator, you'll be instrumental in developing, implementing, and evaluating competency assessment programs for our field staff. What You'll Do: Design and conduct comprehensive competency assessments for both new hires and existing Home Health Aides and Nurses. Develop and deliver targeted in-service trainings and educational sessions based on identified learning needs and performance gaps, with a focus on home health best practices. Utilize a variety of assessment methods, including direct observation, skills checklists, and scenario-based evaluations. Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to Home Health Aides and Nurses to enhance their clinical skills and professional development in the home care setting. Collaborate with the management team to ensure all staff meet required competencies and regulatory standards. Maintain accurate records of all training and competency assessments. Stay updated on current home health guidelines, best practices, and Indiana Department of Health regulations. What We're Looking For: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. License RN under State of Indiana is required. Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse. Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Home Health Care, demonstrating familiarity with home care protocols and patient needs. Proven familiarity and experience with competency skills assessment for both Home Health Aides and Nurses. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and effective teaching methodologies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.   Why Join BrightStar Care Indianapolis?
