Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and detail-oriented Urban Planner to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As an Urban Planner, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our rapidly growing city, contributing to sustainable development and innovative urban design solutions.

Develop comprehensive urban plans and strategies that address the unique challenges and opportunities of Riyadh's urban landscapeConduct in-depth research and analysis on urban trends, demographics, and environmental factors to inform planning decisionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and environmental specialists, to create integrated urban development proposalsPrepare and present detailed reports, plans, and recommendations to stakeholders, including government officials and community membersAnalyze and interpret complex data sets to support evidence-based planning decisionsParticipate in public engagement processes, facilitating community workshops and gathering input from diverse stakeholdersEnsure compliance with local, regional, and national planning regulations and policiesContribute to the development of sustainable and resilient urban design solutions that enhance quality of life for residentsUtilize GIS and other mapping tools to create visual representations of urban plans and proposalsStay updated on best practices in urban planning and sustainable development, incorporating innovative approaches into your work

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, or a related field; Master's degree preferredProven experience in urban planning, with a focus on sustainable development and innovative design solutionsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable plansProficiency in GIS software and mapping toolsIn-depth knowledge of urban planning principles, zoning regulations, and land use policiesExcellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyOutstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiencesCollaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teamsPassion for creating livable, resilient communities and improving urban environmentsFamiliarity with Saudi Arabian urban planning regulations and cultural considerations is a plusFluency in English required; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable
