Upstream/PAT, Technical Applications Specialist - East Coast

Your Role:

Do you have strong experience in upstream operations, scale-up and tech transfer as a plus? Maybe Process Development and manufacturing scale bioreactors, Process Analytical Technology (PAT) specifically RAMAN and sampling systems?  The technical sales position is for you! You will work with the local account managers and MSAT teams to support customer opportunities in the eastern United States by: 

 

Identifying and converting new business opportunities that include Multi-Use and Single-Use Systems and related services within your region. You will manage the overall selling process and cycle, in close relationship with all business partners.Providing technical expertise and business acumen for complex investment projects from our customers.Acting as a team leader for custom designed equipment and capital projects. You will deal with decision makers, evaluating budget and monitoring the status of the decision-making process. Positioning our portfolio, developing and presenting commercial quotations, and answering technical questions at all decision layers. You will convert deals by driving negotiations on price and contractual terms.You will be responsible for territory sales target.You will be a solution enabler, surpassing your strict portfolio responsibility and broadening MilliporeSigma's offerings to wider expectations from our customers.

 

Who You Are

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.3-5+ years related hands-on upstream cell culture and/or PAT experience in the biopharma industry.Experience with automated systemsExtensive knowledge of Biotech upstream processing with cursory understanding of downstream applicationsGood listening skills with the ability to analyze and respond to given situations quickly and effectivelyGood presentation, excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to represent our organization in front of clientEffective in working across functions with the ability to work effectively internationallyOwnership, demonstrated ability to work on his/her own initiative under limited supervision
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven experience in engineering and/or selling to the Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical Industry, and single-use manufacturing Demonstrated ability to establish strong partnerships with internal and external partners.Experience working in a sales/marketing organization.Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively to diverse audiences through both written and oral communications.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and validation

 

Travel Requirement: 30-40% domestic travel to customer locations within Eastern US & Canada and possible limited international travel as needed.

Role based on the east coast, preferably in Burlington MA location

Pay Range for this position: $96,300 - $165,600
