We are looking for an experienced Upstream HSE Advisor to join our client’s project team in Paris. The successful candidate will support the management and execution of all Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) activities across the Upstream scope, which includes fabrication, construction, and offshore installation for major EPCI packages. This position is based in Paris with frequent missions to offshore installation vessels, fabrication yards, and operational/logistics bases.

Key Responsibilities Support the Upstream HSE Manager in implementing the Project HSE Plan. Act as stand-in for the Upstream HSE Manager during absences, providing leadership and oversight for HSE performance and compliance. Conduct audits of offshore vessels, fabrication sites, and onshore facilities; report findings and track timely implementation of corrective actions. Participate in HAZID studies and other risk assessment processes for fabrication, construction, and installation activities. Ensure all HSE activities are performed in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and company Golden Rules. Monitor contractors’ HSE performance, ensuring timely submission of required documentation, reports, and statistics (KPIs). Support incident investigations, root cause analyses, and lessons learned processes. Provide oversight of HSE training compliance (training records, certifications, and competency tracking). Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and internal project stakeholders to resolve HSE issues and improve performance across the Upstream scope. Required Skills & Experience Minimum 10 years of HSE experience in the Oil & Gas industry, including large-scale EPCI projects with offshore pipeline / SURF scopes. Recognized HSE qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent). Demonstrated ability to lead incident investigations, perform audits, and implement proactive HSE improvement measures. Strong experience in managing HSE performance on pipeline / SURF engineering, installation, and pre-commissioning activities. Proven track record of building collaborative relationships with contractors and driving performance improvements. Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to represent the project to stakeholders at all levels. Fluent in English (spoken and written). Additional languages are an advantage. Tertiary education in sciences or engineering preferred. Additional Requirements Valid BOSIET and OGUK Offshore Medical certifications (must be in place at onboarding). Availability for frequent offshore and onshore missions. Ability to thrive in a multicultural and fast-paced project environment.
