UPS Field Service Technician - Houston, TX

A fully competent UPS Field Technician applies an intensive and diversified knowledge of complete UPS start-up, testing and operations. Responsible for commissioning, maintaining and providing emergency support on power electronics at customers’ sites nationwide.

Qualifications:
Preferably 3-5+ years experience in this field and ability to troubleshoot down to component level on equipment such as UPS, batteries, PDU’s, STS, etc.Utilizes hand tools and test equipment to perform workRequires excellent verbal, written communication skills & customer relation skillsMust be able to provide high level of quality customer serviceMust be able to complete Field Service Reports within a timely mannerRequires knowledge of equipment manufacturer’s specificationsAbility to work independently and resourceful with good initiativesMust be able to perform repeated bending & lifting of up to 75lbs during certain proceduresMust be able to provide necessary pro-active recommendations to clientsCandidate must be willing to work nights & weekends when necessary / be on call when neededKnowledge of general computer hardware & software applicationsPrevious 3rd Party UPS experience a plusUPS OEM factory training or experience working in the field with: Emerson / Liebert / Vertiv ; APC / MGE / Schneider , or Eaton / Powerware / PDI , a MUSTTechnical degree a (DeVry, Lincoln Tech ) a plusPrevious experience in the Military / Military veterans in all branches that have experience with Electrical / Mechanical is a huge plus (Navy nukes- EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabees, Army - Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, etc.)Clean driving record Travel will be nationwideSubmittal Instructions:Please apply directly by clicking the link below, alternatively you can forward your resume directly to: dbpj4i8ygy5b73w6yqfgfecz9y@crelate.net
