Take the next step in your therapy career with a team that values your expertise and supports your growth! **COTA Position Highlights:** + **Employment Type:** Full Time - Permanent - Direct Hire + **Setting** : **Onsite Required** (No Remote, Telehealth, or Hybrid) - 5 Star Medicare Skilled Nursing Facility + **Competitive Pay:** $45-$50/ hr (approx.$93,600 - $104,000 Annual Salary) + **Full Health Benefits:** Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, HSA and FSA, Voluntary and Supplemental Insurance options, 401(k), Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) + **PTO:** 2 weeks of PTO per year + Paid holidays + **Patient Type:** Adult and Geriatric Patients + **EMR System:** Net Health / Point Click Care + **Flexible Schedule:** Monday - Friday, Sunday - Thursday, or Tuesday - Saturday + **Shift/ Hours:** 8:00 am -5:00 pm - 5x 8s - 40 hours per week **Responsibilities:** + Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist. + Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per OT Board. + Treat patients per the physician treatment plan. + Assist nursing department with training of Restorative Aides. + Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problem and plans. + Participate in in-services training program for other staff in the facility. + Record evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, recertification documentation, per Occupational Therapy Board State Practice Act and governmental and third-party payer requirements. + Record treatment changes per policy and procedures. + Instruct patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance program and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services. Participate in discharge planning. + Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area. + Report any problems with department equipment so that it is maintained in good working order. + Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients/residents, families, staff and professional colleagues. **Qualifications & Requirements:** + 1 or more years of Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant experience preferred + New Grad Friendly - Mentorship Available - Must have active CA COTA License to be eligible + **Active California Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) License** - Must be in good standing with no disciplinary actions + **Active BLS Card Required - American Heart Association or American Red Cross** + Minimum of 1 year of experience in wound care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facility (preferred but not required). + Certification in wound care (e.g., WCC, CWS, CWPT) is a plus. + Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid guidelines for wound care services in skilled nursing facilities. + Ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team. + Strong clinical reasoning, patient education, and documentation skills. + Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
