**What you’ll be able to do:**
UnSE CAE Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Position reports to Dearborn, MI office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Perform Power Unit (Electric Motor & Transmission Gear) NVH analysis. Simulate magnetic flux of linear and rotational inductive and hall sensors. Perform BLDC electric motors performance analysis (torque, current, output power), and correlation with test full vehicle BIW, trimmed body, full vehicle modal analysis and frequency response analysis. Perform suspension system chassis system force to body analysis based on spindle load. Perform Knuckle Cone Joint evaluation (PEEQ, torque loss). Perform subframe dynamic stiffness analysis. Perform steering gear (concept model and FE model) correlation and NVH analysis, including modal analysis, ECU acceleration analysis, enforced angle analysis, and FRF analysis. Perform brake system brake rotor and drum FRF correlation and modal separation analysis. Perform brake squeal analysis. Perform force transmissibility analysis based on brake load. Optimize brake squeal noise. Optimize steering gear modal frequency. Optimize subframe dynamic stiffness. Use NVH/Console Active DOE optimizing connection forces. Trim body optimization for NVH performance.
**You'll have...**
A Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 10 years of experience in the position offered or 10 years of experience performing Noise Vibration Harshness (NVH) CAE analysis from components to subsystems to full vehicle. Also required 10 years of experience using each of the following tools for NVH CAE analysis: Nastran, HyperMesh, HyperView, NVH/Director, NVH/Console, Abaqus, AVL/Excite, Romax, and Maxwell. Also requires 5 years of experience: utilizing Optistruct and Hyperstudy tools for NVH CAE optimization; utilizing Catia and Solidworks 3D drafting software; working with chassis components; and operating front and rear suspensions, subframes, steering, and braking systems. Also requires 4 years of experience utilizing BEV power units.
We are offering a salary of $117,853.00 - $162,120.00/yr.
