Practice Overview: Ankura’s Discovery team combines the people, process, technologies, and advice needed to reduce discovery costs and enhance case strategy throughout the eDiscovery lifecycle. The team helps optimize our clients’ litigation profiles and more effectively collect, manage, and analyze significant amounts of unstructured and structured data. The team helps clients transform immense datasets into actionable intelligence with the latest advances in data science, predictive analytics, and machine learning. Together with Ankura’s Ph.D. experts in machine learning, the Discovery team has created some of the most innovative predictive analytics technologies currently in use.
Role Overview: Interns will work in a collaborative and fast-paced team environment on engagements often related to commercial and regulatory related disputes and investigations. The internship program is focused on providing interns with the opportunity to learn about Ankura and the industry, learn and utilize new skills, and develop relationships. Interns will have the opportunity to learn, use, or gain exposure to a variety of technologies and programming languages, including Relativity, predictive coding applications, and SQL.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Develop and use knowledge of technology to design innovative approaches to solve data-related challenges
+ Execute on projects involving the identification, organization, collection, processing, review, and production of electronic data;
+ Create summaries, data visualizations, written analyses, and other presentations of work performed
+ Manage time and tasks to meet deadlines for clients who work in time-sensitive industries;
+ Generate consistent and thorough documentation to support processes developed throughout the project lifecycle
+ Participate in internal and external meetings
+ Maintain a professional image within the company
+ Travel and / or overtime
Requirements:
+ Graduating between December 2026 and June 2027 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, MIS, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or other analytical area with a solid academic performance.
+ Database programming languages (SQL, PL/SQL) and other database applications (MS SQL, Oracle, etc.)
+ Strong interest in using technology to manage data and solve complex data problems
+ Strong interest in learning, or familiarity with, the following technologies: eDiscovery tools (Relativity, predictive coding applications, etc.)
+ Exposure to forensic software (Encase, Cellebrite, UFED, XI Social Discovery, etc.) is a plus
+ Ability to engage in team-oriented projects within a dynamic and fast-paced environment
+ Advanced decision-making, problem-solving, logic-based skills with a strong attention to detail
+ Strong work ethic, eagerness for development, and motivation to succeed
+ Ability to manage time and prioritization of tasks
+ Ability to prepare high quality work product
+ Ability to interact confidently with team members
+ Excellent communication (written and verbal), quantitative, and organizational skills
+ Please note that this role requires permanent authorization to work in the U.S. ( i.e. U.S. citizen or permanent resident). Internships and full-time University Associate roles are not eligible for U.S. immigration sponsorship, work visa or any other temporary work authorization ( i.e. OPT, CPT).
Ankura is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. A reasonable estimate of the current payrate for this internship is: $34/ hr.
