Position Purpose

The Unit Director maintains 24-hour accountability for leading and managing the assigned unit. Responsibilities include:

Ensuring high-quality patient care. Creating a healthy workplace for staff. Overseeing clinical and administrative functions. Collaborating with medical staff to monitor outcomes and set quality priorities. Supporting shared governance and professional development. Managing hiring, orientation, performance evaluations, and budgeting.

Clinical Leadership Monitor patient outcomes and implement safety initiatives. Use evidence-based practices to improve care. Analyze satisfaction data and develop action plans. Encourage specialty certification and continuing education. Recruit and mentor nursing students and new nurses. Leadership Development Mentor Clinicians in leadership and communication.
