Summary

Unified Communications Analyst II

 

Position Highlights:

The Unified Communications Analyst II is responsible for the coordination, organization, supervision, operation and maintenance of MCC’s hospital-wide unified communication system, responsible for the implementation and maintenance of system interfaces. Provides technical support both during the planning/implementation phase of system development and at all times following installation of all unified communications systems. This hands-on technical position will be responsible for supporting various VoIP systems and contact center technologies within UC Infrastructure, with an immediate focus on Cisco Call Manager, Cisco UCCX and CUC (Cisco Unity Connection), Zoom platform and related collaboration systems. The Unified Communications Analyst II will also partner with the other technology teams and end-users to ensure high-quality operations and efficient voice, chat, video, text, and related collaboration technologies. This role will move, add, or modify communications systems, support hardware, and software, and resolve issues.

Responsibilities:

On-ground support of patient engagement technologies; virtual visit systems, Vocera, Rauland Nurse Call, CareEvent and other related patient room technologies. Complete day to day Telecom, videoconferencing and contact center requests, such as: moves/adds/changes/repairs/troubleshooting and project related tasks. Ability to troubleshoot common unified communication issues to include identifying and correcting issues with endpoints, bandwidth saturation, profiles, and misconfiguration. Work with Telecommunications carriers and managed service vendors on trouble tickets, activations, and terminations. Administration of Cisco Unified Communication Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Emergency Responder, Zoom Phone, Jabber, Cisco 7921/7965/8861/8837. Configuration of analog lines on Cisco Voice Gateways: VG310, VG320, VG350 and VG450. Look for opportunities to provide technology efficiencies and operational improvements.

Credentials and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree – Field of Study: Telecommunications, AV Systems, or related UC technical field 5 years of experience with administration and support of Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity, and Cisco Unified Contact Center, Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx or related videoconferencing solutions, within a unified communications environment. Experience developing training materials and training end users. An Associate’s degree with an additional two (2) years of relevant technology experience ( for a total of 7 ) experience may be considered “in lieu” of a Bach Degree A High School diploma with an additional four (4) years of relevant technology experience (for a total of 9 years) experience may be considered "in lieu" of a Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Experience

Significant and successful experience supporting various unified communications solutions and implementation. Working experience with hardware and software systems including on premise data center with Cisco, Dell, Dell / EMC, DNS, DHCP, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop, Citrix NetScaler, VMware, Linux, Unix, and/or Windows environments, LAN/WAN/SDN, Zoom Enterprise, WebEx, MS Teams, UCaaS technologies as well as cloud providers is preferred. Experience working in a 24/7 environment, preferably in a healthcare setting such as a hospital or hospital system.  Working experience with hardware and software systems including on premise data center with Cisco, Dell, Dell / EMC, network protocols such as H.323, SIP, DHCP, DNS, DHCP, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop, Citrix NetScaler, VMware, Linux, Unix, and/or Windows environments, LAN/WAN/SDN, Zoom Enterprise, WebEx, MS Teams, UCaaS technologies as well as cloud providers is preferred.
