Underwriting Specialist II

Aon's Insurmark business unit is looking for an Underwriting Specialist II to advance our successful Floodwatch practice.
The ideal candidate is near Fairborn/Dayton, Ohio, or Kalispell, MT, working a hybrid schedule.
This position works with Aon's professional network of commercial insurance brokers and our diverse network of third-party brokers to deliver underwriting services specifically related to placing business with our stable of Write Your Own flood insurance carriers.

What the day will look like:
+ Underwriting responsibility for a broad range of real estate condos, residential, commercial etc.
+ Ability to work with brokers and customers to determine flood insurance needs and work with our partners to deliver solutions that bring value to all stakeholders
+ Coordination with clients and Insurmark sales leaders to professionally and timely respond to submissions and coverage requests
+ Prepare and present data analyses and business trend reports
+ Maintain an understanding of the current flood insurance marketplace and specifically stay current with changes to the federal National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)
+ Act as a product advocate and company advocate to our business
+ Participate in our planning and budgeting processes
Skills and experience that will lead to success:
+ Must have Property and Casualty License
+ Insurance underwriting experience preferred
+ 2 years experience with NFIP Insurance preferred
+ Written and verbal communication
+ Project management and data analytics
+ Competent using Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Education:
+ High School Diploma or GED required

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $48,000 to $52,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
