Syndicate 1183 underwrites a number of classes of business including war and terrorism, energy, marine, financial lines, cyber, transport, political risk, crisis management, kidnap & ransom, contingency, property and treaty reinsurance. Through its expert team of underwriters and a balanced, geographically-diverse portfolio of business, Talbot has earned a reputation as an industry-leading insurance and reinsurance specialist. How you will create an impact · Working and collaborating with but not limited to, the Underwriting Management team, Compliance, DUA, Claims and Underwriting Teams to create a robust review process for all Products within Regulatory scope. · Coordinating activities, including any projects, training sessions, external meetings across Talbot to ensure we meet Regulatory requirements in relation to Product Oversight Governance (including Conduct Risk). · Working with Underwriting teams and providing “Product Walkthrough” reviews with/without external parties such as Brokers and Coverholders. Providing assessment, guidance and challenge to demonstrate that we fully meet our Regulatory obligations and our commitment to putting the customer at the heart of its operations. · Will help identify and remediate gaps in Talbot’s Product Governance framework. · Produce metrics for governance forums that assist in monitoring and evidencing appropriate oversight and to drive improvements in the treatment of customers and the products we offer. · The role will involve the responsibility for communicating the status of Product Oversight to a variety of high profile Senior Management meetings and other forums within the formal governance structure, including Chairing meetings as required. What you’ll need to succeed + Strong belief and interest in improving the customer experience + Strong leadership skills and a demonstrated track record of tangible accomplishments in a relevant field + Ability to influence and drive behavioural and cultural change + Knowledge/experience in interacting with senior management, Boards and Regulators if necessary + Experience with understanding data analytics to help with the development of metrics/dashboard to drive decision making + Background / experience in customer facing roles · Regulatory/Compliance background with good knowledge of current relevant regulations (FCA/ PRA, Lloyds) + Experience and knowledge of insurance market including sale of retail products to parties including Lloyd's regulatory risks and requirements. + Background or knowledge of wider compliance activities in an insurance environment involving that may have an impact on Product Governance + Credibility to challenge existing practices and a desire to pro-actively tackle issues. · Diligent, analytical and tenacious individual. + Experience of staff training and development with the ability to create, design and deliver training materials. + Resilient and able to communicate complex information. + Ability to build rapport and drive change through different approaches/Ability to adapt style. + Commercial acumen Ready to take your career to the next level?
