Life Science Underwriter

The opportunity

We are creating a new position to support our growth plan in the Life Science business area.

This will provide you with a chance to be part of a successful organisation with strong growth ambitions combined with the entrepreneurial spirit of a medium local size company.

The position can be based in Stockholm or Copenhagen.

Your new role

Evaluate risk for new business & renewals to ensure profitable growth.Actively keep abreast of market dynamics and demonstrate market cycle awareness.Provide senior technical and specialist product expertise to corporate intermediaries/clients.Support divisional underwriting function to actively manage talent for succession planning.Adhere to underwriting standards, instructions, and good practice to minimise risks.Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers, intermediaries, and stakeholders.Contribute to the development and implementation of channel strategic plans.Motivate and develop the team by demonstrating good leadership behaviours.Achieve overall local underwriting governance requirements and internal audit standards.

Your profile

Experience in Life Science or Casualty Underwriting experience or as a brokerHigh level of written and spoken EnglishGood communicator with strong facilitation, influencing and negotiation skillsAbility to develop and maintain strong relationshipsTechnical report writing skills
