AIG’s underwriters help to find insurance solutions for risks from a range of areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients and High Net Worth individuals. How you will create an impact • Evaluate property insurance applications to determine risk factors and coverage eligibility • Analyze property inspection reports, appraisals, and other relevant documents • Determine appropriate coverage limits and policy terms • Calculate premium rates based on risk assessment and company guidelines • Collaborate with producer and other internal/external stakeholders • Develop and implement underwriting guidelines and procedures • Conduct periodic reviews of existing policies and recommend adjustments • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market conditions • Negotiate terms and conditions with producer and other internal/external stakeholders • Prepare detailed reports and document findings for approval • Investigate claims to identify possible fraud or underinsurance • Participate in training programs to enhance underwriting skills What you’ll need to succeed • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field • Relevant experience in property underwriting or a related field • Strong knowledge of property insurance policies and regulations • Strong understanding of risk assessment and mitigation strategies • Attention to detail and accuracy in assessments • Proven track record of successful risk assessment • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards • Knowledge of market trends and economic factors • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to make informed decisions under pressure • Strong decision-making and critical thinking abilities • Effective communication and negotiation skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ready to maximize your impact?
