Saint Francis Healthcare is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Sonographer to join our team!
**Schedule:**
PRN, per department needs for weekday, weekend, holiday coverage.
The Ultrasound Sonographer is responsible for performing all ultrasound procedures including those within the department, at the bedside, and in the OR. The sonographer works closely with the radiologist and other licensed physicians presenting images and data for interpretation and assisting with interventional procedures. The sonographer must show independent judgment when performing procedures and when addressing difficult or unusual situations. The sonographer is responsible for evaluating images for technical quality.
**Major Responsibilities:**
+ Perform all Ultrasound procedures
+ Utilize hospital Electronic Medical record with accuracy
+ Accept additional assignments and tasks
+ Utilize Radiology PACS imaging storage
+ Assesses patient to determine ability to undergo requested examination
**Requirements:**
+ HS graduate or equivalent
+ Completion of an accredited program in ultrasound technology
+ Must be a registered ultrasound technologist (ARDMS)
+ BCLS certification required
+ Experience preferred
