ULTRASOUND TECH
+ POSITION SUMMARY + Reports To: + Director of Radiology + Summary: + Employee’s primary responsibility is to perform diagnostic ultrasound examination as ordered by physician. Strict guidelines and protocols are followed for each procedure to optimize the quality of the procedure. Responsibilities also include preparing the equipment and supplies for the tests. + Work Schedule: + Non-standard work hours. While on-call, must be available within 45 minutes. Able to work more than 40 hours per week. + SKILLS & ABILITIES + Education + Associate's Degree (two-year college or technical school) + Experience + Two to four years related experience + Computer Skills + Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility. + Certificates & Licenses + Must be ARDMS registered or registry eligible. BLS certification required. + Other Requirements + Must have two years of technical school in Radiology or a Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasound. This position requires constant standing and walking, as well as frequent sitting, use of hands and fingers, and pushing and pulling 0–100 lbs.
