Get to Know Your Team: Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU. Responsibilities This position is responsible for performing a variety of specialized technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound utilizing high frequency sounds waves to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities; assisting in the delivery of personalized, professional and quality patient care, internal and external customer service. Performance of all Ultrasound examinations, transportation of patients to and from Imaging Services. Preparation of all departmental paperwork, answering the department’s telephone, and scheduling patients. Entering and retrieving patient information from the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS). Maintaining the work area in a clean and organized manner. Qualifications Job Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology Program. 2 years of experience in OB ultrasound 1 year MFM Ultrasound experience Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or an equivalent. Nuchal translucency certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification by the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross. Knowledge of all ultrasound equipment, its function, and the operation of each control. Understanding of equipment and computer systems, as well as the procedures for equipment service. Knowledge of Cross-Sectional Anatomy and Physiology. Ability to recognize fetal malformations.
