Reporting to Commercial & Market Access Director. We are seeking to build a Commercial Field Team comprised of individuals who are skilled at running a business and understand the key drivers for business optimization and success. We are not seeking individuals whose general experience is mainly in sales. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of identifying and harnessing business opportunities for efficient growth across diverse landscapes. This role is a rare and unique opportunity for the individual who excels in a patient focused environment with an unprecedented delivery of results in a service model environment.
The priorities within each geography will vary based upon the local environment. It will be the responsibility of the Commercial Field Team Member to determine what the key priorities are within their geography, create a business plan that is organizationally approved and implement this personally designed plan of action, to the highest standards.
Work Model:Field: Officially documented as working as a member of the Ultragenyx field team, generally interacting with third parties on behalf of Ultragenyx.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the implementation of the commercial, access, marketing and medical strategies in the assigned territory. Serve as territory business owner with a focus upon impact and territory analysis. Other key areas of focus include optimizing: i) drive patient diagnosis and care, ii) educating and expanding the healthcare provider community, iii) treatment fulfilment and commercial & market access process -end to end process iv) compliance to treatment Lead and organize Commercial & Medical Educations Events Achieve sales objectives: Revenue and Patients in Therapy (Access Initiated & New Patients) and Territory Management KPIs for all portfolios Ability to present clinical data in front of a large audience with medical and administrative areas Educate physicians, nurses, payors, administrative areas and pharmacists on XLH / TIO and Metabolic; MPSVII, LC-FAOD and HoFH -according to the promotion policy and procedure Able to set up Key Accounts in the territory according to portfolio to maximize opportunities Ensure patients get access to commercial therapy in all environments Public and Private Utilizes Ultragenyx corporate structure and the experiences of other peers to accomplish goals and serves as a liaison between corporate Commercial – Access - Marketing and Medical departments with customers. Contributes and participates in the development of the annual business plan/budget and establishes annual sales and marketing objectives for his/her region. Adheres to approved budget and maintains updated current customer databases (VEEVA) to be used both locally and nationally, prepare expenses reports on time. Build and maintain close interactions with different stakeholders (KOLs, HCPs, scientific associations, Payors, Administrative areas in Hospitals and Health Care Institutions) Requirements: Minimum - Bachelor’s Degree (health or administrative careers) with 5+ years of Rare Diseases (ideally) or Highly Specialized Healthcare and business skills experience Preferred - master’s degree in science or business, MBA and/or PhE / Medical Degree Strategic business acumen, natural leader Account management and Clinical knowledge expertise Ability to collaborate with different stakeholders to achieve the same goals Demonstrated experience effectively presenting clinical/scientific & Pharmacoeconomic data information required Approximately 50% - 70% (dependent on geography) travel is required; overnight travel is required as needed English at a minimum to understand medical literature #LI-CK1 #LI-Remote Full Time employees across the globe enjoy a range of benefits, including, but not limited to: · Generous vacation time and public holidays observed by the company · Volunteer days · Long term incentive and Employee stock purchase plans or equivalent offerings · Employee wellbeing benefits · Fitness reimbursement · Tuition sponsoring · Professional development plans * Benefits vary by region and country
