CACI is currently looking for UI/UX Designers with agile methodology experience to join our BEAGLE (Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology) Agile Solution Factory (ASF) Team supporting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client located in Northern Virginia!



Responsibilities:

As a UI/UX developer of an Agile team you will be responsible for creating intuitive, user-centered designs and developing responsive, interactive user interfaces that are maintainable, efficient and reliableExperience with Agile development methodologies and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and stakeholdersDevelop user interfaces that meet business requirements and user needsLead the development of a cohesive look-and-feel and standardized user experience across applicationsDeveloping compelling, creative, and user-focused experiences and points of view that align with clients’ business objectivesCollaborating with cross discipline team to create and execute experience style guides, interaction patterns, and information design standardsDevelop wireframes, mockups, and/or prototypes supporting design ideas and effectively communicate ideas to various stakeholdersEstablish standard layout and style libraries across applicationsWork closely with the functional team to determine feasibility of requirements and collaborate on design ideas and improvements.Ensuring product quality and timeliness of work, providing advice and guidance, resolving problems to meet objectives, and providing periodic performance reportsWork independently and efficiently within agile software development environment, utilizing tools and practices like JIRA, Confluence, GitLab, unit testing and harness.Providing mentoring to junior members of the teamMust be able to work on-site in Ashburn, VA 2-3 days per week




Qualifications:

Required: 

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria include but is not limited to:3 year check for felony convictions1 year check for illegal drug use1 year check for misconduct such as theft or fraudDegree in a related field, such as Interactive Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Graphic Design or Human FactorsExperience working collaboratively to communicate effectively through websites and web applications that are easy for real people to use and responsive across all device viewportsProfessional Experience: 7+ years of professional experience with 5 + years’ experience in UI/UX developmentProfessional experience with enterprise UI design tools such as Figma (preferred), or similar toolsProfessional experience communicating designs with stakeholders such as product owners, end users, development teams, and managementAbility to understand trade-offs between designs, technical feasibility, and maintenanceProficiency in development and maintenance of web applications using React, Angular, JavaScript, browser technologies such as HTML, HTTP and CSS and JavaScript framework such as Kendo UI.Familiarity with Java and associated frameworks such as Spring/Spring bootFamiliarity with our tech stack: Java 17, Spring/Spring boot, React, UI state management, ORM such as Hibernate, PostgreSQL, Amazon AWSContinuous Integration / Continuous Deployment tools such as Harness, Jenkins, GitLab or Bamboo

Stay current on important industry and customer trends to ensure our applications are delivering relevant solutions

Collaborate effectively with stakeholders inside the company and with customer groups to drive effective solutionsUse data, validation, and feedback strategies that deliver code backed by qualitative and quantities testingExperience with responsive and mobile-first developmentWilling to take risks and champion new ideas.Have experience developing applications, from consumer facing to internal toolsMaintain a user-centered approach while respecting business needsAble to work and be effective in an agile design environmentWorking knowledge of and ability to assist others in the use of design tools to support process improvement (Figma, Axure, Sketch, Invision, XD, etc)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong work ethics and a self-starter



Desired:

Design Thinking certifications such as those offered through IDEO, Stanford, Cornell, MIT or a host of other organizationsProven experience designing for web accessibility (Section 508 standards)Experience with information architectureAbility and interest in educating others on user-centered design best practicesAdvanced understanding of Lean processes, and Agile principles

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$103,800 - $218,100
