An opportunity has arisen for a UI/UX Designer to join our User Experience team in Nicosia. The UI/UX Designer role is about crafting user-friendly, visually engaging interfaces for web applications. It involves conducting user research, developing wireframes and prototypes, and collaborating closely with developers and stakeholders to bring designs to life. This role also focuses on maintaining a cohesive design system, incorporating feedback, and ensuring accessibility in all digital experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
User Interface Design: Create visually appealing, user-friendly interfaces for web applications that align with TSYS brand with strong focus on user experience.
Wireframing and Prototyping: Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using tools like Figma to effectively communicate design ideas.
Collaboration: Work closely with the designers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure designs are feasible and align with business goals.
Development Handoff: Prepare all design works for proper development handoff and collaboration. Work closely with developers to make sure design requirements are clearly executed.
Design Systems: Create, maintain and evolve the company's design system to ensure consistency across all web applications.
Feedback Implementation: Gather feedback from users and team members to iterate on designs for continuous improvement.
Accessibility: Ensure all designs comply with web accessibility standards to provide an inclusive experience for all users.
Essential Requirements:
Typically 2+ years relevant experience in designing web applications.
Proven experience with a strong portfolio showcasing previous UI/UX web applications design work.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Axure, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and other UI design tools.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to solve complex design challenges creatively while considering user needs and business objectives.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate design concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
The following skills would be advantageous:
Knowledge of HTML/CSS: Basic understanding of front-end technologies to effectively communicate with developers.
User Experience Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to understand user needs and behaviors, and use insights to inform design decisions.
Familiarity with payment technologies and trends in the fintech space.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment typical of tech companies like TSYS, which emphasizes agile development practices.
Knowledge of responsive design principles to ensure applications work seamlessly on various devices.
Other requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, MIS, Human-Computer Interaction) and/or combination of relevant training and/or experience in lieu of degree.
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
