We are seeking a skilled and experienced Voice Engineer to support and enhance our global voice and collaboration infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), cloud-based UC platforms such as AWS Connect, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom, as well as Session Border Controllers (SBCs) and Verba Voice Recording solutions. This is a critical role for ensuring high availability, integration, and performance of enterprise voice services across hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities:Voice Infrastructure Management
Manage the entire voice estate, ensuring stability, scalability, and performance.
Capacity planning, monitoring, patching, and maintenance of voice platforms.
Administer and optimize Cisco CUCM, Cisco Meeting Server, Expressway-C/E, and Logic Monitor tools.
Configure and troubleshoot SBCs (Ribbon/Sonus, Audiocodes) and SIP trunking.
Troubleshooting & Optimization
Resolve voice quality issues (jitter, latency, packet loss) using Wireshark, SolarWinds, etc.
Perform firmware upgrades and system health checks.
Use network probes and packet capture tools for deep diagnostics.
Support Power BI reporting for voice monitoring.
Cloud Collaboration & Integration
Configure and support Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, Zoom Phone, and integration with legacy PBX systems.
Work closely with network, security, and DevOps teams to ensure end-to-end service reliability.
Design and support QoS policies, disaster recovery, and high availability voice architecture.
Technical Support & Documentation
Handle Tier 2/3 support for escalated incidents and mentor junior team members.
Create and maintain SOPs, configuration documents, and network diagrams.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) related to call recording and voice data.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Engage with Service Desk, Platforms, Information Security, and End User Services teams.
Participate in on-call rotations and weekend support as required.
Qualifications & Experience Required:Minimum 7 years of experience in Unified Communications / Voice Engineering in a large enterprise environment.
Expertise in VoIP technologies, Cisco CUCM, Verba Voice Recording, and SBC platforms (Ribbon, Audiocodes).
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Teams voice integration, PowerShell, and certificate management.
Hands-on experience with network probes, packet analysis, and troubleshooting tools.
Solid understanding of collaboration security and compliance frameworks.
Ability to work independently in a global, cross-functional, fast-paced team environment.
