Twisting OperatorPosition Overview
Shaw Industries is looking for a Twisting Operator to operate the Twister in a safe and efficient manner according to established procedures and specifications ensuring that a quality product is being produced.

Responsibilities:
1. Thread positions in accordance with procedures and specifications.
2. Maintain adequate supply of quality feed yarn on creel and in pot by removing empty tube, replacing with a full size package, and splicing transfer tails.
3. Doff finished packages after a visual quality inspection.
4. Repair breaks and restart position according to specification.
5. Patrol Twister for wraps, runouts, and breaks. Makes repairs as required.
6. Unload finished package from belt, separates by product number, places on buggy, and labels properly.
7. Gather Quality Engineering Lab samples as required.
8. Place empty tubes at each position as needed.
9. Place spare recyclable empty tubes in storage box for re-use.
10. Obtain empty buggies for placement of finished packages.
11. Inspect creel pot yarn for defects and contamination.
12. Obtain creel yarn and tubes from staging area as needed.
13. Ensure correct twist level is maintained when splicing.
14. Leave at least one (1) buggy of yarn of each color running for next shift (when available).
15. Push and stage twisted yarn to the Heatset staging areas when required.
16. Comply with procedures found in Shaw Management System (SMS).
17. Work normally scheduled days in compliance with the Plant Attendance Policy. Work overtime as required.
18. Use yarn lift (Package Lift Assist) to remove all yarn from the twister belt.

Assist Twisting employees as needed.
