TS/SCI Director of Program Management

Insight Global is seeking a Director of Program Management to join a Fortune 1000 manufacturing and engineering innovator that provides safe and effective nuclear solutions for global security, clean energy, environmental restoration, nuclear medicine and space exploration.
This individual will be joining their Nuclear Fuel team of 25 individuals onsite in Erwin, TN. They will be responsible for the overall leadership and general management of the Program Management Group which may span across various projects/contracts and divisional needs. This individual will also be handling the direct management of multiple projects, customer communications, estimating, price setting, contract negotiations and general project administration and reporting. During the project, they will manage the cost, schedule, technical direction and performance of the functional organizations assigned to the execution of the projects.
Additional duties include:
1. Directs/coordinates special projects at the direction of the President to include but not limited to divisional assignments, across project task forces, large development projects, material procurements, and vendor selections.
2. Directs the efforts of the Program Management Team and obtains assistance from the functional organization to insure the performance of all efforts necessary to maximize cash flow and deliver contracted goods and services with quality, cost, and delivery targets.
3. Interfaces with the Corporate Services Department to review potential new work scopes, products or services to assure compatibility with the assigned Program Management Team.
4. Assists Corporate Services in proposition efforts to insure that company offerings meet customer needs with regard to bid dates, design, and contract details. Reviews and approves applicable proposals.
5. Coordinates with Corporate Services and the affected operating or functional departments to insure that changes to the proposal agreed to during contract negotiations are equitably distributed and accepted by all parties to the original proposal.
6. Reviews and interprets proposition correspondence, sales papers, proposals, and contract specifications to become fully acquainted with all requirements, obligations, conditions, and terms of the contract.
7. Prepares a project plan that provides for the efficient execution of the contract and the control of project costs, case flow, schedules, quality, and documentation requirements.
8. Assesses contract cost and processing efficiencies on an ongoing basis and takes necessary corrective actions. Interfaces with Program Management and between functional departments to negotiate and balance contract financial performance actions within overall company financial goals.
9. Assures the creation and receipt of performance information necessary to manage each contract. Exercises control by monitoring project progress in regard to costs, cash flow, schedules and documentation requirements. Approves material purchases, authorizes production by pre-planned stages, and approves changes to the master schedule that affect the project. Receives appropriate cost, cash flow, schedule and quality data and reports and compares actual results with the project plan on a timely basis.
10. Institutes corrective action where needed by means of the following personnel: Program Management Team, Functional Department, Section and Unit Managers, and President.
11. Monitors the contract support actions required from the customer and insures that all necessary steps are taken to initiate and/or expedite such actions when necessary. Keeps company and customer management informed of critical items affecting a contract and requests management action from either party where appropriate.
12. Conducts meetings and briefings on project with company and customer management utilizing appropriate reporting techniques.
13. Coordinates the general development activities throughout the company.
14. Represents the company at major customer meetings.
15. As needed, provides leadership and training for the other Program Managers with the company.
The salary ranges from $225 - 325k (including annual bonus) and is inclusive of health, dental, and vision benefits as well as 401k plan.
