Trust and Estate Paralegal
Description We are looking for a skilled Trust and Estate Paralegal to join our team in Orinda, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in assisting attorneys with estate planning, trust administration, and litigation matters. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. Responsibilities: • Assist attorneys with drafting and reviewing estate planning documents, including wills and trusts. • Support litigation efforts related to trust disputes and estate matters by managing discovery processes and preparing case files. • Coordinate and manage trust administration tasks, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. • Serve as a licensed Notary Public to notarize essential legal documents as needed. • Conduct legal research to provide accurate information and recommendations to attorneys. • Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accessible. • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case progress. • Collaborate with the legal team to prepare for hearings, trials, and other court proceedings. • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submission of required filings and documentation. • Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient workflows for estate planning and litigation processes. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on trust and estate matters. • Proficiency in managing discovery processes and supporting litigation efforts. • Strong knowledge of estate planning and trust administration procedures. • Licensed Notary Public with the ability to notarize legal documents. • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and team members. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment. • Proficiency in legal research and understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
