Truck Driver Sr
Job: IRC12011 **Description** Job Title Truck Driver Sr Location Cheyenne, WY, US Position Summary Responsible for transporting and delivering a variety of products. Responsible for the safety and inspection of the vehicle before, during and after operation. May be responsible for loading and unloading shipments. Handles special projects, as assigned. Essential Functions + Minimum of five (5) years of CDL-A driving experience. + Transporting equipment and materials (i.e. mats, liner, felt, pipe, telehandlers/skid steers), from NPK yards to customer sites. + Familiarity with lease roads. + Ability to abide by hours of service and DOT regulations. + Background in load securement. + Experienced in driving Road Tractors with manual transmissions with various transmission designs: IE: 8 speed, 13 speed and 18 speed. + Fluent in pre-trip/post trip inspections, maintaining driving logs. + Experienced with hauling trailers of various lengths: 16’ Mudhens, flatbeds, Grate Dane, Kaufman DT-35 & Shan-gra-la, Dorsey Copp-S/drop deck/steel flatbed. + Ability to navigate Road Tractors with trailers on highways, temporary roadways/bridges and stone construction roads. + May perform a variety of direct labor type tasks associated with individual project assignments. + Reporting of and/or repairs of equipment that requires service and or maintenance. + Must be able to navigate customers' needs with a good attitude and must always be able to represent the Company in a service-oriented and courteous manner. + Must be able to adhere to all safety and quality procedures. + Ability to work a flexible schedule and/or holidays - attendance, punctuality and timeliness is a must. Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or educational equivalent. 5 years of experience. Valid driving license required. Knowledge of regulations for the transportation of products and materials being transported. Appropriate licensing from the proper regulatory authority.
