We are currently hiring a Truck Driver - Expeditor, flatbed commercial truck driver at our manufacturing plant in Millersburg, Oregon. The Truck Driver - Expeditor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth, accurate, and timely movement of materials - both within our facility and between ATI locations - to support on-time delivery and meet customer requirements. This role is essential to maintaining production flow, coordinating with multiple departments, and ensuring all materials are handled, packaged, and documented to meet stringent safety and quality standards. This is a 4x10 hr. day shift role, where you will operate primarily within a 150-mile radius in Oregon, and you will be home each night.
The Expeditor works closely with production teams, supervisors, vendors, and subcontractors to keep orders on schedule, resolve delays, and maintain accountability of materials throughout the process. In this position, you will serve as the key link between manufacturing operations and shipping logistics, leveraging your organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety to ensure that all products and materials move efficiently from start to finish.
Responsibilities
+ Expedite the movement of materials within the plant and between ATI facilities to maintain production flow.
+ Perform pick-up and delivery services using company vehicles, including tandem axle flatbed tractor-trailers, semi-trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
+ Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure packaging, delivery, and pickup requirements are met.
+ Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, inspect for damage, and confirm accuracy of quantities, weights, and labeling.
+ Prepare and sign Hazardous Material Bills of Lading, ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations for safe transport.
+ Monitor production areas to ensure schedules are met and materials are staged appropriately for the next operation.
+ Locate and identify missing or delayed materials, taking action to resolve bottlenecks and expedite orders.
+ Ensure proper documentation and labeling for all shipments, including hazardous materials.
+ Maintain communication with supervisors regarding delayed deliveries, production issues, or material shortages.
