Treaty Technical Accounting Manager

Treaty Technical Accounting Manager

What can you expect?

Strive to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and system tools to manage contract and Statement Of Accounts (SOAs) processes, meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and deliver compliant, efficient service.

Ensure SOAs are processed on a timely basis and remind the cedant to submit SOAs, ensuring all contractual and warranty conditions are met.

Input accounting/claims process for Request for Proposal (RFP) and sales opportunities to drive business growth.

Implement processes to carry out reinsurance audit/reviews with clients and reinsurers and reviews on premium activity, reconcile records to facilitate the review/audit process to ensure process quality.

Collaborate with peers on difficult or contentious reinsurance developments, supporting and providing training, mentoring and guidance within the team and/or department for all aspects of reinsurance service processing to assist with trouble shooting and to develop team resources.

Establish and drive relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets to understand issues to resolve problems and queries and review working practices.

Manage a team of technical accounting staff.

We will count on you to be responsible for technical treaty matters:

Review technical statements of accounts from clients, process statements and billings according to departmental procedures.

Attend to queries from clients, reinsurers, and related parties.

Train the team in Technical Accounting principles.

Assist in the resolution of technical accounting issues.

Work closely with treaty claims team on queries.

Ensure timely responses to monthly Regional and Local Controllerships' revenue review queries and requests.

Ensure procedures and documentation are in compliance with Guy Carpenter Professional Standards.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What do you need to have?

Proven experience in Treaty Reinsurance processing for proportional and Excess Of Loss (XOL) contracts.

Prior experience in the Reinsurance industry, with specific experience of Treaty Reinsurance highly desirable.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.

Dynamic team management experience.
