**Job Description:**
**JOB SUMMARY**
This position leads payment analytics to enable the right business decision making. The incumbent participates in cross functional projects and ad hoc analyses, leveraging SQL and UPS’s internal finance and accounting systems. This position examines reporting systems/tools to determine the right source to enable analytics for the team. The incumbent compiles and prepares business interpretation of analysis for senior staff in form of story line, using presentations, graphs, charts, etc. This position prepares and tracks progress of projects through financial Key Performance Indicators.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Collects information to ensure valid data is available for analysis by creating new SQL coding, excel templates, PowerBI tools to improve efficiency of complex analytics
+ Identify, design and develop analytical tools for the Payment Strategy Office and develops tracking for Payment initiatives
+ Research business trends and consults relevant parties to determine root causes of financial swings, obtain business insights and verify assumptions.
+ Analyzes and summarizes data in order to offer insight to upper-level management
+ Review and evaluates new business proposals to ensure they are within acceptable range of financial Key Performance Indicators
+ Analyze marketing, new product, and services data to answer business questions about competitors, customers and market trends
+ Facilitates meetings with stakeholders to determine project requirements and establish timelines
+ Develops/manages specialists within the department
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s Degree or internationally comparable degree
+ Expertise in MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Access) and knowledge of SQL
+ Demonstrated knowledge of Advanced Analytics principles
**Preferences**
+ Demonstrated knowledge of accounting theory and principles
+ Demonstrated knowledge of database design principles
+ Ability to identify user requirements and needs with guidance from others.
+ Demonstrates a basic understanding of the importance of maintaining and updating databases
+ Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent in Finance, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,560/year to $130,800/year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
