I. Job Summary
A Treasury Analyst II plays a key role in analyzing financial assurance activities, supporting strategic decision-making, and collaborating across departments to drive efficiency. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Actively assess and assign the incoming financial assurance requests. This will include completing an initial assessment of the requests to determine prioritization and assign responsibility to team members. May include helping to manage contractor and or other treasury staff as needed. Perform independent reviews of financial assurance requests to evaluate and recommend correct course of action to achieve desired results. Collaborate and coordinate efforts between business unit management, corporate management and external surety brokers and financial institutions to ensure that instruments presented are within specifications, company policy, and negotiated and available credit lines. Assist in monitoring and assessing the cost of the financial assurance portfolio, which includes reviewing related invoices for accuracy, processing them for payment in accordance with company policies, working with accounting to ensure expense recognition is appropriate and preparing summary analyses of the costs. Use professional judgment and accounting/finance experience to assess the company’s overall financial position (computation of key financial ratios, benchmarking and stress testing), which will contribute to the compilation of financial presentations to management, the Board of Directors, senior management or the credit rating agencies as well as quarterly compliance reporting. Assist in preparing presentations of the current state of the company and the financial assurance program for management and external parties such as surety underwriters and credit rating agencies. Proactively lead projects by preparing, communicating, and carrying out a project plan that includes clear goals, a defined timeline, measurable milestones and ultimately action items or recommendations. Manage responsibilities and deadlines to ensure that customer (field organization) needs are met on a timely and effective basis. Proactively communicate in a clear, concise, and timely manner with members of internal operations management and external parties, including financial institutions, insurance and surety companies. Actively participate in analysis, reviews and recommendations of leases submitted by the field. For approved leases, partner with internal management and financial institutions to coordinate the negotiation and execution of capital leases. Assists in the daily operations of captive insurance companies and in the review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial activity. Participate in monitoring and managing of the captive investments portfolio. Prepare accurate month and quarter-end reports and reconciliations to support accounting reporting requirements. Actively assist in process reviews and recommendations for increased efficiency in line with our continuous improvement efforts. Provide analytical support to the Treasury and Risk Management department on ad hoc/special projects.
