Treasury Accountant
Description We are looking for an experienced Treasury Accountant to join our team in Sherman Oaks, California. In this role, you will take the lead in managing liquidity strategies, cash flow forecasting, and optimizing funding operations to ensure financial stability and growth. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement innovative treasury solutions. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement firm-wide liquidity strategies by collaborating with capital markets and external funding partners. • Manage operations and reporting for external equity funds, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Optimize the funding mix using proprietary models within treasury systems to achieve maximum returns and maintain liquidity. • Conduct stress-testing and scenario analyses to assess potential liquidity risks from market fluctuations and business events. • Lead comprehensive cash flow forecasting across daily, weekly, monthly, and long-term intervals in partnership with FP& A and business leaders. • Refine forecasting models to improve accuracy and support strategic capital allocation decisions. • Oversee loan funding reconciliations and cash postings to ensure timely fund availability and mitigate operational risks. • Address and resolve treasury-related issues promptly while driving continuous improvements in processes. • Collaborate with technology, finance, legal, and business teams to implement scalable treasury solutions and system upgrades. • Execute ad-hoc projects such as modeling new product suites, evaluating growth opportunities, or responding to leadership requests. Requirements • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in investment banking, corporate finance, treasury, or capital markets within financial services or fintech. • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field is required; advanced certifications are a plus. • Expertise in cash flow forecasting, liquidity risk management, and optimizing capital allocation strategies. • Proficiency in treasury systems and tools, with experience in data automation, APIs, or enterprise platforms preferred. • Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives with measurable results. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in ambiguous situations. • Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of engaging senior stakeholders and driving strategic actions. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with a focus on data analysis and presentation creation.
