Traveling Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Ledcor is seeking a skilled Traveling Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our U.S. Mining team. In this role, you’ll travel to various job sites across the country to diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy mobile equipment. You’ll work independently, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform safe and cost-effective maintenance on heavy mobile equipmentSupport PM Mechanics and Maintenance TechniciansDiagnose and repair Cat, Komatsu, and Hitachi equipmentConduct safety inspections and complete daily hazard assessmentsMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentationCommunicate effectively with team members and supervisorsPromote and uphold safety and production standards across all sites

Qualifications:

Valid Class B Commercial Driver's LicenseMinimum 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic on surface mine sitesProficiency with Cat, Komatsu, and Hitachi equipmentStrong computer skills for accessing equipment diagnosticsAbility to troubleshoot engine, transmission, and hydraulic systemsEffective communication skillsMSHA Part 48 metal/nonmetal certification preferred

Work Conditions:Rotating schedule: 5 days on / 4 days off, 12-hour shifts (including nights)Frequent travel to various U.S. work sitesOvertime may be required
