Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a **Licensed Practical Nurse** to work at a Correctional Facility in **Maury, North Carolina** . These are _registry_ positions with our company. 40hrs Travel Package Weekly Gross Pay = $600 Local Hourly Rate (Taxable) = $15 Weekly Travel Stipend Non-Taxed- goes to the net pay = $1106 (Hotel-700 Meals-406) Total Weekly ($1106 is not taxed)= $1706 Feels like per hour = $42.65 $1706 div 40 hours = $42.65 **Shifts Available:** + 12:00N-10:30 pm + 8 am-4:30 pm. **Minimum** **Qualifications:** + **At least one year (12 months) of previous working experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse** + Must have up to date credentials in the state of North Carolina + Correctional experience preferred, but not required! + A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association) + Ability to build rapport with patients + Familiarity with medical terminology + **Qualified for travel rate if permanent residence is 50+ miles away** **Job Responsibilities:** + Provide patient care under direction of nursing staff + Administer prescribed medications to patients + Sterilize and prepare medical tools and equipment + Assist in the transport of patients + Maintain a clean and healthy environment + Responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients, within the scope of practice to include, but not limited to, the following duties: + Screen, observe, and assess patients, provide basic wound care and personal care to patients. + Deliver routine respiratory therapy and other treatments. + Catheter and colostomy care. + Collect vital signs and specimens. + Prepare and administer medications. + Observe and record pertinent patient information. + Respond to emergencies, and assist the Registered Nurse and Physician, as required.
