Monday-Friday, 35 hour flexible weekly schedule
Overview: The Domestic Violence Program here at The Salvation Army recently was awarded a new grant specializing in services for abused parents and their children. This program will expand our current DV counseling program by adding additional Therapeutic Talent to our existing Talented Team of Trauma Focused Therapists.
Responsibilities Oversee intakes for all referralsCarry a case load of 15-18 cases. Provide clinical counseling, assessment and intervention including parent education, case management, group and recreational therapy and community education to youth and their families that have been exposed to domestic violence in the local community.Work with evaluation team to collect and provide data relevant to service provision.Participate in and complete all required activities to become certified in the Neurosequential Model of TherapyInitiate and maintain regular weekly contact with assigned clients.Devise and implement individual intervention plans Provide court documentation and testimony as warrantedComplete all case notes and documentation within 48 hours of service or contact.Present cases for intra-agency consultation, in addition to participating in regularly held department staff meetings, case conferences, supervision, and in-service training sessions Collaborate effectively with Onondaga County Department of Children and Family Services Staff and other Salvation Army program staff Collaborate effectively with outside services and agencies Qualifications M.S.W. or Master’s Degree in another clinical field with a license of limited permitRequires background and/or training in dynamics of domestic violence, trauma and child developmentMust have valid license that meets The Salvation Army insurance requirementsMust have access to private transportation during work hours
