The Department of Surgery at MetroHealth System, a Case Western Reserve University affiliate, is seeking applications for the position of Division Director for the Division of Trauma, Critical Care, Burns, and Emergency General Surgery.

Position Overview:

The new Division Director will lead and oversee:

Clinical operations, ensuring excellence in trauma, emergency general surgery, burns, and critical careEducation and training for faculty, residents, Advanced Practice Providers, and medical studentsResearch and academic initiatives, fostering growth and innovation in the fieldStrategic development, working with the Chair and institutional leadership to expand MetroHealths trauma presence regionally and nationally

Division Highlights:

18 full-time faculty supported by Advanced Practice Providers, residents, and medical students12,000+ trauma activations annually, with 2,000+ trauma admissions to the Level I centerPartnerships with three affiliated hospitals to enhance trauma care across the region

Candidate Requirements:

Board certification in General Surgery and Surgical Critical CareEligible for medical licensure in the state of Ohio7+ years of experience post-training preferredStrong clinical research background and a national presence in the fieldEligible for appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level at Case Western Reserve UniversityDemonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and a culture of mutual respect
