Job Description
Responsible for driving community residents to and from scheduled destinations. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of community vehicles.
Essential Duties
Drives residents to and from specified destinations as scheduled including doctor and dentist appointments, grocery shopping, recreational events and other errands.Monitors residents overall well being and reports any changes of resident status to supervisor.May train CLC drivers, including classroom instruction, and orientation to community vehicle(s).May assist with planned activities as directed including grocery store or retail shopping. Ensures that Driver and Motor Vehicle policy guidelines are followed.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Six (6) months professional driving of Senior Adults experience preferred.Knowledge of streets in Denver-metro area and ability to navigate to directed destinations requiredKnowledge of ADA vehicles, securing required safety equipment. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.Must possess excellent customer service skillsMust possess a Colorado MVR in good standing.Position requires moderate physical work by lifting, pushing (wheel chairs or other equipment), or pulling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.May be exposed to mechanical hazards from operating company vehicles.Sits, stands, bends and moves intermittently during working hours.Is subject to frequent interruptions.Interacts with residents, family members, visitors frequently.Additional InformationIf you are considering a position at Christian Living Communities | Cappella Living Solutions, we have a wide range of benefits to consider!
