Transportation Planning Intern (Spring/Summer 2026)

Your Opportunity We are looking for a highly motivated Civil/Transportation Engineering Intern for our Lexington, KY Transportation Planning/Traffic Engineering group. This is a paid internship position with a part-time schedule during the semester and full-time hours during the summer. Your Key Responsibilities This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated, energetic individual who is interested in growth on a professional and personal level. Someone with interest and/or experience in traffic engineering, transportation safety, transportation planning, or Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Your Capabilities and Credentials - Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment - GIS skills is an asset - Excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills Education and Experience - Achieve a Civil Engineering degree within the next two years. Typical office environment working with computers and within teams of other high-achieving professionals. Field work, while limited, may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
