PURPOSE ON PROCESS:

Collaborates with the logistics service providers to ensure that the storage, transport and distribution of finished products according to orders are within the parameters of the service level contracted

Coordinates all activities (reception of inbounds from production, temporary storage, transfers to 3PL ) for finished goods in the Akzo Popesti warehouse together with manufacturing and the logistic service provider

Coordinates and ensures the circulation of documents according to the company's policy and the legislation in force

ON THE TEAM:

Ensures the performance of the subordinate team through training, monitoring and evaluation according to the established performance indicators

RESPONSIBILITIES

ON PROCESS:

Plans and ensures the daily, weekly, monthly carrying out of the transport and distribution activity according to the orders, ensuring the established level of service; Together with the logistics service provider, it searches, analyzes opportunities and proposes concrete solutions for optimizing the transport and distribution activity. E.g.: streamlining routes, workflows, distribution variants, selection of transport and distribution partners, etc.; Together with the logistics operator, he coordinates and records the evolution of the management of the goods and documents during transport, including the documents attesting the delivery of the goods and the closure of any non-conformities reported by the customers, in compliance with the legislative requirements, procedures and work instructions of the company; He/she has the obligation to know the company's product portfolio and to comply – both he/she and the subordinate staff – with the specific transport and distribution requirements; Together with a logistics operator, it ensures the collection of returns from customers, based on the return report approved according to the company's procedures in force; Collaborates with the sales and marketing departments in order to deliver in full and according to the agreed delivery deadlines; Together with the logistics operator, check the delivery/return documents and the minutes drawn up by the drivers at the delivery/return of the goods. Checks and ensures that there are transport documents and goods accompanying documents for all transported goods. It intervenes immediately when the procedures and work instructions are not followed. Establishes corrective actions and proposes sanctions when necessary;

 

RESPONSIBILITIES - Verifies customer complaints and proposes solutions (e.g. missing and/or damaged goods, replacement of goods, invoices) and corrective actions as well as preventive actions; Check the transport rates, the trips made and the freight transport invoices Monitoring activities at the 3PL operator, including EDI messages, Akzo – 3PL transfers, KPIs, execution of promotions, labeling, returns, OTIF, delivery slots, deliveries from external suppliers, coordination of the activity in relation to carriers and distribution management, complaints, inventory differences, assistance for the ICO division, management of requests from reconciliation with suppliers; Complies with all environmental, hygiene and product safety rules, participates in environmental and product safety trainings and reacts accordingly; Monitors, evaluates and proposes solutions for improving performance indicators; Constructs or proposes the budget for warehousing and transport costs and is responsible for the approved expenditure budget; Performs any other activities specific to the logistics activity, according to the requirements of superiors, respecting the legislative requirements and the company's requirements i.ex. compliance with e-transportation requirements for inbounds and outbounds for Romania RESPONSIBILITIES- TEAM

 

ON THE TEAM:

Defines and delegates clear responsibilities and objectives to subordinate persons; Instructs and verifies compliance with procedures, work instructions and physical/scriptural flows by the entire subordinate team; Ensures alignment and cooperation between functional teams including company management, through pro-active communication, transparency and collaboration with customers, within the supply chain, with the technical, planning, production, sales departments.  financial; Periodic evaluations, according to the company's procedures; Collaborates with the Human Resources department, participates in the recruitment and selection process; Plans the vacation periods for the subordinate staff, so that they do not affect the activity of the department they coordinate, respecting the company's legislation and procedures. JOB REQUIREMENTS

STUDIES:

Secondary education, higher education is an advantage

Administration and Management Courses

EXPERIENCE:

Relevant operational experience, of minimum 3 years in Logistics, specially at Transport Department coordination role or minimum 5 years experience in an important coordination role within the Supply Chain.

Relevant experience in coordinating and training complex teams and processes.

 

KNOWLEDGE:

Thorough knowledge of specific processes (working with 3PL, distribution and transport)

Knowledge of PC use: MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point), SAP, WMS
