We are looking to hire an exceptionally passionate, multitasking and detail-oriented individual that is self-motivated and experienced in supporting a transportation team with daily administrative tasks.
What will your job involve?Maintain inter-departmental communication between our plant operations, sales, and field operations teamsUsing Nextraq, logs and other documents, track and monitor driver activity. i.e. excessive stop times, excessive idling, excessive speeding, etc.Work with administration and production staff to ensure accurate and efficient creation of manifestCo-ordinate scheduled vehicle servicing and rectification of equipment issues to improve vehicle performance as requiredConduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with roadworthiness, vehicle cleanliness and appropriate driver operationPrepare and print memorandums for effective driver communicationAnalyze route efficiencies to ensure optimum cost savings achieved Responsible for ensuring driver compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and rectifies any non-conformance or matters of concern regarding Health and Safety mattersEnsure minimal errors are made and high quality of customer service deliveredResponsible for the quality assurance of smart containers being unloaded and loaded into trucks pre and post trip Ensure accuracy of orders: must review all load sheets and ensure quantities are correct prior to shipping in accordance to customer requirements.Assist in implementing new processes, procedures, and guidelines to ensure quality and cost controlSupport projects related to the improvement of logistics processesMonitor commercial drivers’ Hours of Service and maintain DOT complianceMonitor and answer daily emails with vendors and customersAssisting the Transportation Supervisor with any projects and tasks needed -Requirements:2+ years’ experience of Transportation Support and/or dispatch experienceBox truck driving experience requiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required Strong attention to detail and ability to multitaskStrong verbal and written communication skillsGood understanding of transportation/logistics practices and proceduresKnowledge of best practices for customer needs assessments, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfactionWillingness to be a strong team player and contribute to a positive work environmentKnowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and OutlookWho are we?
