Transport Unit Development Specialist

   

Would you like to shape the future of transport unit solutions at Novo Nordisk? In this exceptional role, you’ll work on practical, innovative solutions making logistics more efficient and redefine how goods move sustainably across the globe.

 

Your new role
You will be joining our Global Transport Unit Development team, where you will play a key role in innovating transport unit solutions that align with present and future needs. Your knowledge of moulding, pallet transportation, pallet protection, and system engineering principles will be instrumental in solving complex challenges and driving excellence in our designs and processes. You will:

Collaborate with SME-s across focus areas to create solutions designed for sustainability, efficiency, and functionality. Use 2D and 3D digital simulation and design tools to develop transport systems and packaging solutions that meet industry-leading standards. Validate and document solutions rigorously, ensuring quality and compliance, and work according to SRV (Novo Nordisk Verification & Validation Framework). Work effectively with people across different business areas, functions and External Supply areas and foster alignment and synergy across teams through exceptional stakeholder management. Drive the adoption of a lean (cLEAN) mindset, optimizing processes and workflows. Support ensuring cold chain requirements while applying system engineering strategies.

 

Your new department
The Finished Product Manufacturing Science & Technology (FPMSAT) department under Global Intralogistics focuses on designing and developing innovative transport unit solutions to optimize global logistics with sustainability at its core. Within FPMSAT, the Global Transport Unit Development team of 12 Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) drives these efforts, contributing expertise in materials, sustainability, 3D design, validation, cold chain solutions, and more. From idea generation to development, verification, and maintenance, we deliver state-of-the-art solutions that improve efficiency and support Novo Nordisk’s commitment to sustainable operations.

 

Your skills & qualifications
We value diversity and we are looking for an individual with a mix of experience, skills and perspectives who will thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoying the exchange of ideas and leveraging diverse expertise within a team. The role requires:

Preferably over 5 years of relevant industry experience and significant knowledge in moulding processes, pallet transportation, and pallet protection systems. A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering or a similar discipline. Hands-on experience with 3D simulations, digitalisation. It will be considered an advantage if you also have cold chain solutions experience. A firm grasp of system engineering and structured product development methodologies with an ability to break down complex challenges into actionable solutions. Passion for incorporating sustainability and continuous improvement into your work. Proven track record of managing and maintaining an overview of the entire development process, for example in a role such as lead engineer or a similar position, with experience in structured product development using a stage-gate framework.
