We're now looking for a Transport Trainer/Cover Driver to to play a key role ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time.

This role will start predominantly as a Driver with a view to move into a Transport Trainer role in the future.

\n

✅A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

\n\nDriving an 18T rigid HGV (Class 2) to deliver ambient, chilled and frozen products to DHL workshops within prisons. Multi-drop up to 4 drops per day\nResponsible for loading and unloading using PPT's and a tail lift\nItems will be on pallets – weighing up to 800kg or wheeled dollies (loaded with totes) up to 200kg \nWork in close proximity with prisoners and other DHL colleagues\nWork closely with the Transport Management Team to ensure we train our drivers to be safe, efficient and customer focused\nRegularly monitor drivers with telematics and compliance reporting as well as in cab coaching\nTo assess and train drivers, including SMITHS system refresher course and slow speed manouver training\nTo complete driver re-assessments\n\n

\n\nPrevious experience within a transport environment – essential\nExcellent people and communication skills – essential\nHold a HGV Class 2 licence © - essential\nComputer literate – essential\nH&S background– preferred\nPrevious practical experience as a transport trainer/DDA – preferred\nPrevious experience working with Tachomaster + Microlise - preferred\n\n
