Transport Supervisor, Convenience

Position Details

As we continue our transformation and growth journey across the region, we are now looking to appoint a Transport Supervisor, Convenience at our Lurnea facility in Sydney.

The primary focus of your role will be to participate in the daily operation and efficient functioning of the state Transport team through the supervision of allocation & scheduling of trucks within the Convenience transport network.

You will also provide support and effective services to all Convenience/QSR customers in the most professional manner.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Ensuring sub-contractors are compliant under Chain of Responsibility (CoR) rules and regulations

Ensuring sub-contractors are paid correctly and on time

Ensuring all Reverse Logistics requirements (i.e. product returns, MHU) are met in terms of inventory control and maintenance

Ensuring any people issues regarding sub-contractors are raised with their employer directly

Accountability for the upkeep and maintenance of Lineage fleet dedicated to the Convenience operation

Working collaboratively with Convenience site operations to ensure that scheduled trucks are despatched on-time

Ensuring that all drivers are trained across Convenience transport requirements including Load Restraint, Roll-Cages handling, and In-Store requirements.


Key skills/experience will ideally include:

Extensive experience in a similar role, within the Transport / 3PL industry

Experience leading a small team

An excellent understanding of CoR principles (NHVLR, Mass/Fatigue Management)

Experience with developing and implementing financial budgets, targets and reporting

Demonstrable experience with managing customer relationships and resolution of issues

Experience with asset management

Experience in working within regulatory frameworks

Strong understanding and implementation of safety procedures, product safety, quality and legality issues
