Downer has an opportunity for an entry level Full Time Transport Operator to join our team located in Cairns. Monday – Thursday 6.30am – 3.00pm. Friday 6.30am-1.00pm. $28.78 per hour.

Some day-to-day duties will include but not limited to:

Delivery of driver and vehicle services to support Defence Transport requirements & management of Defence fleet vehiclesWashing & cleaning of both company and Defence vehiclesAssisting with preparation of issue/receipt documentation on Defence loan pool vehiclesDelivery and pick up of company/Defence vehicles to and from repair agencies/dealershipsDrive courtesy buses/perform courtesy bus service duties ensuring a safe driving service to Defence and civilian customersPerform daily/monthly inspections of company vehicles

ABOUT YOU

Suitability for Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship mandatory)Must have a current LR (Light Rigid) LicenceMust have or ability to obtain a Drivers Authority               High level of understanding and commitment to Zero Harm in the Workplace
