The 10R Transmission Team is looking for a plant resident engineer at Sharonville Transmission Plant to help provide product engineering input to daily production manufacturing and quality concerns. Facilitate clear, timely communication within the product engineering and manufacturing team. This role interfaces with
systems/component engineers & plant team members to resolve technical & quality issues. Work with cross functional teams to troubleshoot warranty returns and report findings.
What you'll do…
• Provide Product Engineering input to daily production Manufacturing and Quality concerns.
• Facilitate clear, timely communication within the Product Engineering and Manufacturing team.
**Alerts**
• Lead the review, approval, tracking, and resolution of Alerts.
• Assess risk and guide function-based, data-driven quality decisions.
**Quality Issues**
• Assist internal and external supplier quality investigations.
• Conduct annual process audits of manufacturing, assembly, and test operations.
• Co-lead weekly PRT meetings for transmissions.
• Support Sharonville PQR process and meetings.
**New Model Planning / Production Validation**
• Plan for New Models and design changes.
• With Plant Quality Engineering, lead the Production Validation, tests and evaluations.
• Drive issue resolution and summarize completion to achieve PV signoff.
**Change Management**
• Participate in the Manage-The-Change process to ensure quality changes and timely implementation.
• Review, approve, and communicate SREA changes.
• Support the Concern / cost study process and facilitate plant response.
• Review and signoff internal part PPAP.
**Warranty / VO Pulls**
• Support root cause definition during analysis of warranty and Assembly Plant transmission returns and assure communication to the PD team.
• Become a key member of the Early Warrant Response Team – reviewing warranty claims and birth history each week.
• Interface with VO counterparts on quality concerns and diagnosis.
You'll have...
**Bachelor's degree in engineering** or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
3 years of automotive Automatic Transmission (or Powertrain) experience.
2 years of prior Product Development and Manufacturing experience.
1 year of experience with the PPAP process.
Even better, you may have...
Master's degree in engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Calibration and vehicle data collection knowledge preferred.
Experience with WERS and SREA processes is preferred.
Vehicle repair or vehicle diagnostics background.
Strong problem-solving skills and experience with quality tools.
Strong communication skills.

This position is a range of salary grades **SG5-SG8** .
