Job Description
This role involves strategic planning, asset integration, and the front-end implementation of transmission projects. The position supports Integrated Grid Planning initiatives and is focused on enhancing transmission systems within the service territory.
ResponsibilitiesSupport long-term transmission planning aligned with Integrated Grid Planning frameworks.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate transmission capacity, reliability, and modernization needs.Develop transmission strategies to facilitate DER integration, electrification, and grid resilience.Ensure planning consistency and quality by applying project management standards.Participate in stakeholder meetings and provide technical input on transmission planning scenarios.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.5+ years of experience in transmission engineering or planning.Strong analytical, communication, and project coordination skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior experience with PG&E is strongly preferred.Familiarity with PG&E standards.Experience in substation planning and protection & control engineering.Work Environment
This position requires frequent onsite presence in Oakland, CA. The work environment may include remote, hybrid, or in-office setups, depending on project needs.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $75.00/hr.
