Exciting HV Transmission Line Engineering opportunity to remotely support some of the largest renewables projects across the US!
Job Description
This position is responsible for the management of design for assigned transmission generation tie lines for Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage, and for stand-alone transmission line projects. The role involves overseeing the entire design process from conception through construction and commissioning, ensuring the successful completion of transmission line projects.
ResponsibilitiesManage the design of transmission line projects from early stages to execution, collaborating with the Early Stage Project Manager to define project requirements and scope.Secure engineering consulting resources by developing scopes of work, securing bids, and awarding contracts through the Integrated Supply Chain Group.Coordinate with project stakeholders to develop and secure routes, engineering data, and necessary permits for line design and construction.Competitively source, select, and contract geotechnical, survey, engineering, and construction services.Support the Engineering & Construction Cost Estimating Team with scope assumptions.Coordinate engineering deliverables for competitive proposals, design, and construction phases.Represent Engineering & Construction's interests in meetings, providing updates on progress, issues, and risk mitigation.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering.Minimum of 7 years of experience in the development, design, engineering, and construction of High Voltage Transmission line projects.Strong knowledge of transmission design, communication, and project management skills.Proficiency with PLSCADD, Microsoft products, Auto-CAD, and Primavera.Ability to understand technical diagrams and deliverables.Additional Skills & QualificationsProject Engineering and/or Project Management experience.PMP and/or P.E. in related discipline is a plus.Travel required within North America.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
